Sabino A. Battaglia “Sam”, 31, of Springfield , passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Summit , Sam has lived in Springfield his whole life. A National Honor Society student, and graduate of Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield , Sam loved computers and playing video games. He was a fan of the NJ Devils and NY Yankees, and enjoyed watching professional wrestling. Always known for cracking jokes and being happy, Sam loved being surrounded by people, especially his family and friends.
Predeceased by his brother Raffaele, Sam is survived by his parents, Anthony and Maria (Zara) Battaglia; sisters Josephine Gallo and her husband Alessandro, and Antoinette Miller and her husband Bill; nieces Samantha and Jessica Miller; nephew Antonio Gallo; and many friends.
