Sandie Hilliard, 67, a long time resident of Springfield, quietly passed at home with her family on Friday March 21, 2014.
Sandie had several careers throughout her lifetime. She was a Manhattan Rocket, a Radio City Rockette, and a computer technician for both the Springfield and Westfield School systems.
Sandie’s many passions and hobbies were rooted in her love for all things that sparkle, the outdoors and her love of children. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds and was extremely creative. While her children were young, she supported their interests. In later years, she spent her summers as the Director of a Cub Scout Day Camp in the Watchung Reservation. Sandie also spent her time choreographing musicals for both Jonathan Dayton and CAST of Kenilworth.
Upon retirement, Sandie spent her time with friends, gardening and enjoying each day for everything it brought.
Sandie is survived by her three children Robby, Chrissie and Bill and their significant others Lisa, Scott and Wendy. She also leaves behind four siblings Tim, Irene, John and Lori, several loving nieces and nephews and her granddaughter Jessica Faith, who was the sunshine of her life.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 29th from 11am-2 pm followed by a celebrant’s service at Bradley Smith & Smith, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ. Formal attire not required.
