Stephen H. Stenstrom-Baseball Fan
Stephen H. Stenstrom, 72 of Summit, NJ, passed peacefully on April 20, 2013. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he was raised in an Iowa Ordinance Plant. Stephen has lived in Summit, NJ since 1979. Stephen started the Summit Sunday Pickup Softball League at Wilson Field in 1980, it’s still going strong today at Memorial Field. He was a Volunteer for 8 years with the Tennis Association of Summit. he served proudly in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1962-1968. He was an avid runner, participating in the New York City and Boston Marathons numerous times.. Stephen spent his career in the field of Business Advertising and Marketing in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. He is pre-deceased by his wife of 43 years, Margaret Williston Stenstrom (nee Russell). Stephen is survived by his two daughters, Karen Stenstrom Sauers and her husband Jonathan and Elizabeth Stenstrom, grandfather of Andrew, Thomas and Margaret Sauers and brother of Ronald Stenstrom.
