Susan Conroy Heath
11/04/1934 - 01/04/2025

Susan (Conroy) Heath, a beloved mother, grandmother, and dear friend passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, in Summit, New Jersey at the age of 90.

Born on November 4th, 1934 in New York City, Susan was the oldest child of Bernard and Sarah Conroy, and a guiding light for her younger brothers Charles and George. She grew up during the Great Depression and World War II, experiences that shaped her lifelong values of resilience and compassion. Susan was the loving wife to Clifford J. Heath Jr., and the cherished matriarch of her family. Over the years, she built a legacy defined by kindness, strength, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Susan found joy in the simplest of things such as tending to her home, baking her famous roast beef and potatoes, and sharing stories that bridged generations – and though some of Susan’s stories would include a few fictional flourishes, they always filled the room with warmth and laughter. An active reader of books, Susan was an even better reader of people, possessing keen insights and intuitions on the human condition.

She graduated from The Mary Louis Academy in Queens, NY in 1952, married David L. Glaser and had four children, Gary, Deborah, Daniel and Matthew. And although Susan always had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special, her devotion and love for her children was the centerpiece of her life. As a single mom in the 1970s, Susan made ends meet as a real estate agent. In the 1980s and 1990s, Susan embarked on a successful career as an actress and model in countless television commercials and print advertisements as a member of the Screen Actors Guild. In more recent years, Susan settled in Basking Ridge, NJ, where she discovered a wonderful community of dear friends.

Susan is survived by her four children, Gary Glaser and wife Antonella of Medellin, Colombia, Deborah Henry and husband Brian of Vero Beach, Florida, Daniel Glaser and wife Ingrid of New York, NY, and Matthew Glaser and wife Sara of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Shea,

Catherine, Sara, John, Natalie, Kelly, Anna, Caroline, Devon, and Gabrielle; and great-grandchildren Sienna, Lincoln, Serena, and Michael. She is also survived by stepchildren Stuart and Steven Heath. All of Susan’s family will continue to honor her memory by living lives that reflect her values of compassion, humility, and love – and seek to maintain her eternal optimism and positive outlook on life. Susan’s spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the lessons she imparted. Her legacy is one of enduring love, and her absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled.
