Taide P. Quinn (Sanchez) passed away on December 16, 2021 surrounded by her family at home in West Chester, PA. Lovingly known as Teddy or Mom Mom, she was born in Mexico. She came to live in New York, NY with her father, Andrew Sanchez after the death of her birth mother, Petra Perez. Andrew was fortunate to meet and marry Eurie McKenzie who adopted and loved Teddy dearly. Teddy was the wife of 69 years to the late Earl James Quinn. She was the devoted mother of Dianne McCarthy (John Patrick), Peter Quinn (Susan), Andrea Ryan (Michael). She was the extremely proud Mom Mom to 10 grandchildren, Kieran (Surian), Terence, (Ashleigh), Maura (Bryan), Erin (Daniel), Colin (Jen), Bryan (Shannon), Catherine, Sydney (Colin), Andrew, Kelly and soon-to-be 10 great-grandchildren, Liam, Brigid, Eamon, Annie, Samuel, Joseph, Libby, Hannah and Clare. She was survived by her dear brother, Ronald (Laura).
Teddy retired in 1987 from Nature’s Bounty after 20 years as their Payroll Manager. In retirement, she enjoyed cooking, traveling, the theater, old movies, knitting, shopping but most of all she loved caring for her grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Church, 16 Blue Mill Rd, New Vernon, NJ on Thursday, December 30th at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the church from 10am to 11am prior to the mass. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating in the name of Taide P. Quinn to Bayada (Hospice) Fund 1400 North Providence Road, Media, PA 19063. Bayada provided Teddy and her family with the highest quality of care, support and compassion during her last few months.
