Teresa A. Messineo
09/16/1964 - 04/17/2023

Teresa A Messineo, died peacefully on April 17, 2023, after a brave battle with metastatic breast cancer at Morristown Medical Center.   She was 58.

Teresa lived most of her life in Kearny before moving to Lyndhurst 2 years ago.  Born on September 16, 1964, Teresa was a loving and devoted daughter to the late Joseph and Pauline Messineo.

Teresa graduated from St Stephen’s Grammar School and Queen of Peace High School. She went on to receive her bachelors in accounting from Kean University and spent the past 25 years with JJosephson as a Finance Manager.

Teresa was a kind and gentle soul who was all about family. She was the keeper of traditions and family history. She especially loved Christmas with all the baking and decorating! She’d fill the house with all types of music either from her extensive collection or by playing the organ. She enjoyed taking pictures of family and friends, as well as on her nature walks or just around town. She spent many summer vacations at Point Pleasant Beach.

Teresa was a truly special individual whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She was a cherished sister to Joseph and Judy Messineo, Mary and Denis McGovern and Michael and Jeanne Messineo. She truly loved her nephews Christopher, Stephen and Mark and her niece Jillian.
