Theodore F. Gleichmann, Jr (Ted), 80, longtime resident of Florham Park, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2018. He is predeceased by his parents, Virginia Steide & Theodore Gleichmann, Sr from Chatham, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Connie (nee Rising), father of Terri (husband Chuck Kugler), Robert (wife Sharon), and Andrew (wife Cynthia), grandfather of Bryan & Erica Kugler, Alison & Jimmy Gleichmann, and Nicholas & Thomas Gleichmann.

Ted grew up in Chatham, was a member of Chatham HS class of 1956, and a graduate of Lehigh University with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after graduation, Ted married his high school sweetheart and moved to Florham Park. He worked for PSE&G for 35 years in the Generation Business in various positions and locations. Ted’s love of trains led him to become an excellent train photographer and co-authored several books. His Bells & Whistles collaboration lasted many years. Ted was also interested in lighthouses.

He was an avid fan of Lehigh sports, frequently attending many events like the annual Lehigh-Lafayette football rivalry & annual Vesper Service at Christmas time. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play youth and high school sports. He loved his friends and family and was very proud of everyone’s accomplishments.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, Aug. 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham, NJ A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Florham Park. Interment is in Fair Mount Cemetery, Chatham.
