Loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother

Theresa Wilson, (nee Krautheim), 95, of Mountainside, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2022.  She was born in Ajka Rendek, Hungary and moved to the United States at age 2 with her mother to rejoin her father who had returned to the US the year before.  She lived with her parents in New York City then moved to New Jersey where she lived in Laurence Harbor and Newark.  She graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark.  She married Clarence Wilson in 1948 and they lived in Irvington before moving to Mountainside in 1955.  She lived in Mountainside until her death.

Theresa was primarily a homemaker and mother but was employed most of her adult life primarily as a bookkeeper and office worker.  Her employers included Schneffle Brothers in Newark and Reusche Brothers  in Mountainside.  She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed exploring new ideas and recipes.  She was an avid reader.  She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside.

Theresa is pre-deceased by her husband Clarence Wilson, her daughter Barbara Wilson, her son Richard Wilson and granddaughter Erica Wilson. Theresa is survived by her daughter Marjorie Wilson, her brother Paul J. Krautheim, and six beloved grandchildren – Gregory Wilson, John Freudenberger, Jr., Danielle Campbell, Jenna Kathcart, Richard Vega, Jr., Veronica Vega, and 10 great-grandchildren – Malayna Bladis, Elijah Vega, Maxwell Vega, Bryson Vega, Sofia Wilson, Olivia Wilson, Gregory Wilson, Jr., Melanie Campbell, Brooklyn Gomez, Mason Gomez and 2 nephews, Paul J. Krautheim, Jr. and Robert M. Krautheim.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4 to 8 pm at the Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. Union, NJ. Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theresa’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
