Veronica “Ronnie” Rose Starace, 83, of Monroe Twp, New Jersey passed away on May 5, 2017 at her son’s home, surrounded by her family.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she lived in Freeport, Long Island; England; Westchester, New York; Japan; and Short Hills New Jersey. She dedicated her life to caring for others, as a registered nurse in her profession, and as a loving mother and grandmother all of her life. After retirement, she lived in Hoboken before settling in Monroe Twp. She loved the arts and traveling.
Predeceased by her brothers Tommy and Edward O’Hare and her son Nicholas F. Starace, III; Veronica is survived by her daughter Dorine Starace, and son Michael Starace and his wife Jessica; grandchildren Benjamin, Brian, Nicholas, Joseph, Mackenzie and Jack; and her former husband Nicholas F. Starace, II.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday from 4-8pm at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
