Vincent Anthony Albanese
September 10, 1931 – July 12, 2024
Vincent Anthony Albanese, of East Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on September 10, 1931, Vincent led a life filled with service, dedication, and love.
Vincent proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was honorably discharged. It was during his time stationed in Germany that he met the love of his life, Louise Fillmann. They married and shared a beautiful life together until her passing.
After his military service, Vincent dedicated over 30 years as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service before retiring. He was also a committed member of several local clubs, including the Livingston Camera Club, the Millburn Movie Makers, and the Essex Watercolor Club, where he pursued his passion for photography. His talent was recognized with multiple photography awards, capturing the beauty of flower gardens and nature with his lens.
A devoted Roman Catholic, Vincent’s faith was an important part of his life.
Vincent is survived by his three children, Anthony (Peggy), Katherine (Tony),(James Sasse), and Patricia (Robert); and his adored grandchildren. He cherished his family and found great joy in their company.
Vincent and Louise raised their family in Livingston, New Jersey, where they lived for 50 years. He was well-known for his sense of humor and became a beloved joke teller among friends and family..
Vincent will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnels to Towers, and The Veteran’s Association of NJ.
His legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
