Violet E. Stavac

Violet Stavac, 96, of Union passed away on June 10, 2023.  A funeral mass at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St. In Union will be held on Wednesday, June 14th at 10:15am.  Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park.  Visiting hours at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. also in Union will be from 9am to 10am prior to the mass.

Born and raised in Irvington, the daughter of Andrew and Margaret (Lance) Giacobbe, Violet had lived in Union since the mid 1940’s.  She was a personnel director with Griffith Laboratories in Union for many years and after retirement, worked at a flower shop, also in Union.  Violet was a longtime parishioner at St. Michaels and an active member of the Union Seniors.  She enjoyed her parakeets and loved ballroom dancing, flowers, and gardening.

Violet was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Stavac.  She was the dear sister of Beatrice Giacobbe.  She is also survived by her nephews, Richard Stavac and his wife Dorene and Ronald Stavac and his wife Beverly as well as many loving relatives and friends.  She is predeceased by her brother Andrew Giacobbe.  Violet was always very grateful for the tremendous support she received from her friends and neighbors.  Without their generosity and help she would have never been able to stay in the home she loved.
