Violet Louise (nee Dunning) Wilcock, formerly of Short Hills, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was 85 years old.

Born in Queens Village, NY, to Frank Norman and Madeline Beatrice Dunning, Violet graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Flushing, Queens. After graduation she worked at Hudson City Bank and then as a United Airlines stewardess until 1956. She met her husband, Thomas B. Wilcock, Sr., in 1955 and they were married in 1956.

Violet and Thomas moved to Short Hills, NJ in 1965 where together they raised four beautiful children. A member of Canoe Brook Country Club, Violet was also a member of Twigs Fundraising Group for Overlook Hospital. She enjoyed theatre and the arts, antiquing, and skiing with her family at Windham Mountain in New York. Above all, Violet loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, a wonderful and caring mother and, to her loving grandchildren, as their YaYa.

Violet leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Thomas B. Wilcock, Sr.; four children: Suzanne Segalas and her husband Donnell of New Vernon, NJ; Patricia Schram and her husband Stephen of Darien, CT; Thomas B. Wilcock Jr. and his wife Laura of Darien, CT; and daughter Peggy Gano of Mendham, NJ; and nine beloved grandchildren: Alexandra, Madeline, Parker, Bray, Paige, Caitlin, Catherine, Meredith and Billy.
