Virginia (Ginny) Toohey Eckert, 88, of Summit NJ passed away peacefully on February 22, 2022.

Born in Newark and raised in Irvington, NJ, Ginny was a loving wife and mother who lived in Summit, NJ for over 60 years.

Ginny attended Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child during her high school years and went on to graduate from the College of Saint Elizabeth in 1954 with a degree in Chemistry.  She worked as a chemist at Ciba-Geigi until she married Anton (Fred) Eckert in 1959 and they raised four children in Summit.
