Vito A. “Tony” Tarullo, 81, of Kenilworth, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Vito was born on November 4, 1938 in Picerno, Italy. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicola and Carmela (nee Marino) Tarullo.
Vito worked as a carpenter for Reisen Lumber in Kenilworth, NJ for 50 years and a member of the Carpenters Union Mill Cabinet Local #252. He was not only a carpenter by profession he also enjoyed working on his own home and helping many others with theirs.
Vito was a loving, caring person and loved spending time with his family. He would give the world to his grandchildren especially. He loved helping others with his creative hands carpentry of course, but he also could help with plumbing, electrical work. Even back in the day when things were simple with cars, he was our mechanic. He supported his family all through the years because that’s the type of man he was. Family came first and he will be greatly missed by all.
Vito is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Karen (Force) Tarullo. He was the loving father of daughters Shawn Vath and husband Stephen and Kim Wegner and husband Stephen and cherished grandfather of Shannon, Amanda and Carley. In addition, he is survived by his siblings Rocco Tarullo and wife Robin, Anna McCullough, Lucy Larzleer and husband Don, Nancy Neves, sister-in-law, Lucia Tarullo and brother-in-law, Rocco Secco. He was predeceased by his siblings; Danny Tarullo, Maria Lena Secco and Sue Lewis.
A private family visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in is name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
