Walter Douglas Mills, 78 of Whippany, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
Walter was born on May 6, 1939 in Kearny, NJ. He was the son of the late David Thomson and Mary (nee Turner) Mills.
He resided in Whippany, NJ for the last 50 years. He worked as the Vice President of Commercial Lending for Summit Bancorp., Summit, NJ for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lee (nee Caruso) Mills. He was the loving and proud father of David Thomson Mills of Harding, NJ, Douglas Adam Mills and wife Rosemarie of Whippany, NJ, and Susan Mary Murray and husband John of Douglassville, PA. He was the cherished grandfather of Kayla Rose Mills, Kyle Douglas Mills and Magdalena Faith Nygard.
A private funeral service was held on Thursday, October 26.
