Walter “Terry” Smith

Walter “Terry” Smith, 75, passed away on December 23, 2022 loved by his family. Terry grew up in Chatham, graduating from Chatham High School in 1967 then immediately enlisting into the Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he worked for the government in the New Jersey Department of Weights and Measures for more than 30 years before retiring to Virginia. He loved spending time hunting with friends at the Gone Huntin’ farm, the Antique Car Club, and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Terry will be dearly missed by his sons Ben and Zach, their wives Kristen and Lisa as well as his grandchildren, Kameron, Caiden, and Crosby. In addition he leaves behind his brother and sister John and Caroline Smith, as well as his nephew and niece Matt and niece, Peggy Smith.
