~~Waltraude Emelie Lindenfelser (nee Seifried) age 87 passed away on the morning of December 31, 2015. She was born in Germany and immigrated into the United States in 1932. She lived in Newark, New Jersey and in Springfield from 1954 until her death.
Mrs. Lindenfelser was employed by Krementz & Co. in Newark and worked as a secretary for the Springfield Public Schools from 1967 until she retired in 1990. She was a long-standing active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Trustee and Elder. She was also a long-standing member of the Springfield Women’s Club.
Waltraude is survived by her daughter, Gail O’Connor, her son, Eric Lindenfelser and her three granddaughters, Ashley O’Connor, Ariana Lindenfelser and Annelise Lindenfelser and a sister Eleanor Blom. Her husband Gunther Lindenfelser passed away in 2006.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield on January 30, 2016. Service is for family only and internment will be in the Memorial Garden at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield.
She was a wonderful Mother and friend to all and will be missed greatly by all her many friends and family. We all mourn her passing.
