~~Willett Owen Lampe resident of Chatham, formerly of Short Hills, died at home July 22, 2015 with wife and youngest son at his side. Born in 1928, he was 87 years of age.
A memorial service will be held at Christ Church, Short Hills, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015.
Owen was a graduate of Millburn High School, 1945 and the University of Pennsylvania, 1949. He was a co-founder of the Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society and author of Images of America MILLBURN Short Hills published in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Harrison, of 56 years and three children Owen Jr., Lauren, and Gregory and grandson William Lampe, daughter-in-law Kathy and her four children.
