William Andrew Sedlak, Jr. of Barnegat, formerly of Springfield, died at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune on Monday, February, 28, 2022. He was 78.
Born in New York City, Bill served with the US Navy at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from 1962 until 1965. He loved the Gitmo gang. He also served with the National Guard 117 Calvary from 1977-1997. Bill was a police officer with Springfield Township from 1965-1995.
He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Mary E. Sedlak. Loving father to Elizabeth Leonard and her husband Anthony (AJ) of Boliva, NC and Susan Sedlak of Aurora, CO. Devoted grandfather of Alexander Leonard. Cherished brother of James Sedlak of Springfield. He is also survived by his nephew Brian Sedlak and his wife Jana of Edinburgh, Scotland as well as his beloved cats, Oliver and Samantha.
