~~William Joseph Halpin (“Bill”), 81, of Union passed away at Overlook Hospital on February 18, 2015.

Born in Newark, Bill had lived in Union since 1938. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and worked for NJ Bell for 43 years until his retirement in 1996. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael’s RC Church, a jazz enthusiast and he played the drums in his younger years.

Bill was the beloved husband of Dorothy for 52 years. He was the loving father of Kathy Evans (the late John) and Sharon Kraycirik (Andrew). He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Rachel Kraycirik, dear sister Mary Caha (Edward) and nieces Anne Bongiovanni and Mary Gambert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s RC Church (1212 Kelly St, Union) on Sat, February 21 @ 10:15am. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.

Friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home (1100 Pine Ave, Union) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to St. Michael’s RC Church.
