Yolanda Beatrice Guerriero, 87, passed away on May 16, 2016 at Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center, Chatham, NJ. Born in Asolo, Italy, Mrs. Guerriero was a long-time resident of Chatham Township having immigrated from Italy to Canada and then to New Jersey in 1968.
She was born on June 23, 1928 in Asolo, Treviso, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Giovanni Pietro and Maria (nee Prevedello) Favretto.
Yolanda loved to cook and enjoyed reading and writing. She spent her spare time watching old movies and spending time with her beloved family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Giuseppe “Joseph” Guerriero. She was the beloved mother of daughter, Carmela Mino and her husband, Enrique of Chatham; son, Peter, and his wife, Michele of Maplewood; daughter, Maria Watson and her husband, Buddy of Brick; son, Joseph Gino and his wife, Joan of Chatham; daughter, Luisa Sagendorf and her husband, Bob of New Providence; grandchildren Peter and Michael Guerriero, Christopher Watson, Jaclyn Stone and her husband, Anthony, Christina Sgroi and her husband, Phil, Lauren and Marissa Guerriero, Robert, Timothy and John Paul Sagendorf, great-grandchildren; Gavin, Owen, and Sarah Watson, sisters; Theresa Zanin and her husband, Nino and Vicky Grover and her husband, Shannon. She was predeceased by her siblings; Eda Bianchini, Angelo and Frank Favretto.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Corpus Christi Church, 234 Southern Blvd., Chatham, NJ 07928. An entombment will follow at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014 in Yolanda’s name.
