Zeonid Khrapko, 68, of Parsippany, NJ, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Liviv, Ukraine; he attended Ivan Franko National University in Lviv where he received his Masters in International Relations & Foreign Languages. He resided in Parsippany for 25 years and worked very hard to provide for his loved once, to care for his granddaughters and to make every day just a little better than the day before. He worked for Parsippany Board of Education and has made many friends there. His positive attitude and playful nature will be remembered by many; there was rarely something wrong (he never wanted to burden anyone) …
Even in the last days when asked what hurts “The answer was, nothing”. He was the person who cheered from the back and never wanted to take credit for so many good things he’s done for this family and others.
He was a member of St. John’s the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Whippany, NJ and a Teacher at the Ukrainian School (Lesia Ukrainka Ridna Shkola). Zenyk (Gene) loved listening to news, reading, gardening and spending time with his grandkids. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Volodymyr and Sophia Khrapko and Ihor Khrapko. He is survived by his wife Mariya Golda Khrapko, his son Bohdan Khrapko, his daughter Oksana Khrapko and her husband Andrew Brukh and their daughters Sophia, Victoria and Aleksandra.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 6 pm to 9 pm with Parastas at 7 pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. Whippany, NJ.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10 am at St. John’s the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 60 North Jefferson Rd. Whippany, NJ. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
