Francis A. Schmidt died at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ on August 7, 2012. He was born in Newark and was a long time resident of Springfield. Frank worked for Weston Instruments in Newark for 50 years. He was an active member of the Springfield Senior Citizens, Honorary member of FA&M and volunteered many years at Runnells Hospital. Previously deceased is his wife Irene H. Schmidt. Uncle of Nancy Fischer, Karen Feiman, and Robert Schmidt. Brother-in-law of Ruth Lang. Dear friend of Evelyn Derrig.
