Barbara was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She retired from the Post Office, after 30+ years of service. Our cousin Barbara was a kind soul. Intelligent, worldly. Traveled all over the world from Rome, Greece, the islands. Barbara was very cultural from playing the piano as a child, to frequenting Museums, art galleries and even enjoyed crossword puzzles. I remember the times when Grandma, Barbara, Sasha and myself use to play scrabble. Barbara and Grandma were always the champs. LOL. Cousin Barbara has always been influential in my life. Always teaching me great lessons throughout the years. Always supportive. She lived life her way, until her last days.
Preceded in death by; Father Charles Longus, Aunt Beatrice Closson, Cousins; Blanche Ford, Daniel Ford, Sr., Diane Ford, and Daniel Ford, Jr.
Barbara leaves behind cousins; Delores Jenkins, Douglas Ford, Lenore Jenkins-Beauliere, Milton Jenkins, Tracie Pryor, David Ford and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083 with a Celebration of life to follow at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. An interment will be held at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, NJ.
