Priscilla Milnes Haberstroh
04/14/1935 - 05/03/2021

Priscilla Milnes Haberstroh, of Chatham and Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away on May 3, 2021 at her home. She was 86.

Priscilla was born on April 14, 1935 and grew up in Groveland, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Ruth Milnes. She graduated from Framingham State Teachers College (now Framingham State University) in 1957.

Priscilla was an active member of the Chatham United Methodist Church community helping with events like the annual rummage sale and antique show.  Amongst her family, friends, and neighbors, she was well known for her New England cooking and baking, in particular, her signature blueberry, squash, and ice-cream lemon pies and chocolate swirl cookies.  She held annual holiday cookie exchanges and always shared her dinner table with friends at holidays. She enjoyed arts and crafts and often designed the church pamphlet for Easter.  She enjoyed spending her summers with her family in Martha’s Vineyard, eating lobster, going to the beach, and entertaining.

Priscilla Haberstroh was a tenacious fighter and lived life on her own terms.  She poured all of her energy into the things that were important to her.  There was never a dull moment, and she was a colorful figure in her family and friends’ lives.  Priscilla and Donald Haberstroh had a strong and devoted relationship, may they lie in peace together.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Haberstroh in 2012. Survivors are her son, David A. Haberstroh, daughter-in-law, Christina Nish-Haberstroh, daughter, Beth E. Leman, son-in-law, Andrew C. Leman and granddaughters Kylie and Fiona Haberstroh and Taylor and Julia Leman.
