Fannie was born in Newark, NJ on January 27, 1924, to Cesare and Teresa Caprio. Fannie attended Girls’ Vocational School and began working at Ronson’s Lighter Company upon graduation. An avid Yankee’s fan, she enjoyed reading, traveling with her friends, spending time at the Jersey Shore and Coney Island, and being involved in her community.

Fannie married her husband Frank on January 8, 1947. The two of them enjoyed dancing on the weekends and going to the movies. She and Frank settled in Bloomfield, NJ where they would raise their two children. Fannie’s career continued in 1964 where she began working at CR Gibson. She retired from the Gibson Company as a supervisor in 1989. Fannie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  As a dedicated and active member of the St. Valentine’s Roman Catholic Church, she served as President of the PTA, Chair of the Annual Summer Picnic Fair, Girl Scouts Leader, and much more. Family and faith were the guiding principles of her life.  She loved her extended family as much as she loved her immediate family. Her fondest memories were time spent with family and hosting large holiday celebrations. Some of her most memorable trips were travelling to England with her daughter and son-in-law, visiting Aruba with her granddaughter, and experiencing Disney with her grandchildren.

Fannie is survived by her son Frank, daughter Donna and son-in-law Anthony Salese, grandchildren Elizabeth and husband Charles McQuaid, Deana and husband Vincent Pezzino, Veronica Richardi, great grandchildren Audrianna and Giovanni Pezzino, Monica and Lia McQuaid, sister-in-law Ann Caprio and many  nieces, nephews and friends.
