04/03/1951 - 11/17/2021

Patricia Evelyn Spiesbach passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  Patty was born on April 3, 1951, in Newark, NJ. She grew up in Scotch Plains, NJ and Basking Ridge, NJ. She graduated from Ridge High School in 1969. Patty was a Nanny for over 30 years and thoroughly enjoyed working with children.

Patty’s greatest joy in life was her beloved son, Bryan Stitt. She was so proud to be his mom and loved spending time with her family. She was married to her loving husband James W. Spiesbach for 23 years. Their shared love of chocolate brought them together over 40 years ago when they met in Short Hills, NJ. With the biggest heart and most welcoming spirit, she was often considered a “mom” to many and cared for children as if they were her own.

Patty loved crafts, puzzles and playing bingo. She was a HUGE Yankee baseball fan and loved to watch them play along with other sports teams like the NY Giants. She especially loved the holidays, continuing holiday traditions and cooking her famous ham, mac and cheese and tuna noodle salad.

Patty was preceded in death by her father, Richard Alexander Stitt.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn E. Stitt (Essman), her husband, James W. Spiesbach, her son Bryan A. Stitt and wife Tamarah Stitt, granddaughter Amora Stitt, siblings Nancy S. Williams and husband Mark M. Williams, Richard A. Stitt, Janet Daru and her husband John Daru, sisters-in-law Charlotte Spiesbach, Mary Ann Gary, Aunt Barbara Lizotte, cherished friends Lori Claussen, Sharon Hilbrandt, Melissa Scala, Maurene Miller, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other close friends.
