Mervat F. Hanna

Mervat Farouk Youssef Hanna was born in Bani Suef, Egypt.

The daughter of Farouk Youssef Boutrus and the late Mary Awad Naklha.  Mervat was a pure spirit with an infectious laugh.

She attended and graduated Cairo University with a Bachelors’s Degree in accounting.

Mervat was blessed with a handsome son Amir Farag, who she loved dearly.

Mervat immigrated to the United States and made many friends who adore her.

Mervat passed  away after a long illness and a fierce battle with cancer.

She was welcomed to heaven by Jesus Christ and all his angels.

She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son Amir of Whippany.

Also survived by her father Farouk of Parsippany, her brother Ghassan Hanna of Parsippany, her sister Manal Bessler and brother in law Arthur Bessler of Morris Plains as well as her nieces Julie of Philadelphia and Kirsten of Morris Plains.

Mervat is also survived by many cousins in the United States, Canada, Egypt, Germany and Australia

Arrangements are by Bradley-Braviak funeral home in Whippany.

She will have a Coptic Orthodox service at St. John The Beloved And St. Mary the Magdalene Coptic Orthodox church in Whippany on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:30 am.

Mervat was a true fashionista who loved shopping, seeing the town and a lover of the color pink.

Mervat was a giver

Her famous bible quote was “Nothing is impossible for God”

She was an example of purity and a true daughter of God who loved everyone deeply.
