Mary E. Sellers, of Union, New Jersey was born on July 29th, 1941, in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Mc Coy & Mary Lee Wiggins.  Mary departed this life on Monday, February 6, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Solley Sellers, as well as two siblings Betty Jean Battle and Kirby Vance Wiggins.

Mary, the eldest of 18 children, graduated from Brawley High School, in June of 1959, then attended Fayetteville State University.

In 1965 she married Norman Moore from Newark, NJ. From this union was born their only child, a beautiful daughter, Bridget Moore, the apple of her mother’s eye.

She worked in the healthcare field with mentally challenged young adults, she loved her clients.

She was spoiled by her first husband and was a stay-at-home mom. She ran her house and raised her daughter.  She loved traveling, shopping, and dined at the best restaurants.  She could always be heard talking about her siblings and would say, “my siblings are my friends”. She had one grandson, Dy’Quan that she adored and was happy to become a great grandma.  She was affectionately known as “Hazel” and was known to speak her mind and never bite her tongue for anyone…if she had a smart remark for you that meant she loved you.  She enjoyed playing the lottery.   She was a fashionable force to be reckoned with in her clothes (you would never find her without her red lipstick). Oh! Let’s not forget about how much she loved her beautiful lingerie…with her nails and hair always on point was an absolute must.  That lady was a neat freak and if there was one speck of dirt on the floor you had to vacuum the entire room.    She also was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan DC4L.

She loved Bowling, Country Music/R&B (she often tried to hold a tune), Old Western movies, and Tennis.

She leaves many loved ones to cherish her memories; her daughter Bridget Moore (Ronald), grandson Dy’Quan E. Moore, great grandkids Ian Elijah, Quinn Avery, and Kyia, Godson Shawn Skinner, favorite great niece Taylor Martin, Siblings Riddick Wiggins, Danford Wiggins, Clarence Wiggins, Shirley James, Lucy Powell (Jesse), Luther Wiggins, Serena Scott, Ethel Davis (Michael), Dwight Wiggins (Pam), James Wiggins (Ethel), Cynthia Davis (Darryl), Patricia Wiggins, Linda Wiggins, Mark Wiggins, Dwayne Wiggins (Ursula) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
