Angelina “Angie” Villota, 88, of Whiting, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at her home.
Angie was born on November 1, 1924 in St. Mary’s, PA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George and Sophia (nee Markovich) Nicola. Angie lived in Bloomfield, NJ for many years before moving to Whiting over 20 years ago.
She loved going to Atlantic City, NJ and greatly enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Angie also enjoyed cooking, especially Italian food for her nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Villota, a World War II veteran. She is survived by two sisters, Elena Kabrovich of Westland, MI, Anne Peterpaul of Hillsborough, NJ, a brother, Gabe Nicola of Sayreville, NJ, eight nieces and nephews, Tom, Mary, Christina, John, Ronald, Sue, Sandra, and Ken, and several great nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 721 Rahway Ave., Union, N.J. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.J. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield, N.J.
