Angelina “Dolly” Martin, 97, of Whippany passed away on February 14, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. A viewing will be held at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ on Friday, February 21, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, at 10 a.m. An interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. A repast will be held at Ravello in East Hanover, NJ, at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in the celebration of Angelina’s life.
Born and raised in Belleville, NJ, the daughter of the late Michael and Marianna (DiGianni) Vizzone, Angelina “Dolly” graduated from Belleville High School in 1940. In her early years, she was employed at a cigar factory in Newark. Following that, she worked for Western Electric in Kearny. After raising her four children, Angelina became a home healthcare representative for the Visiting Homemakers in Morristown before joining AT&T as a research administrator. Angelina retired from AT&T in 2002 at the age of 80. Dolly loved to cook and shop but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Angelina was predeceased by her loving husband Edmund P. Martin of 39 years. She was the loving mother of Edmund P. Martin, Jr. (Janice), George H. Martin (Paul), Lois M. DeCaro (Anthony), and Ann M. Protasiewicz (Mark). Angelina is also survived by her cherished 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and siblings, John Vizzone (Rose), Gerardo Vizzone, Louise Juliano, and Alfred Vizzone (Louise) as well as many relatives. She was the loving sister of the late Catherine Vizzone, Michael Vizzone, Francesca (Fran) DiBiano, Vito Vizzone, Guiseppina (Josie) Caporaso, Peter Vizzone, Vincent James (Sonny) Vizzone and Anna Druther.
