Barbara Elaine Evers, 79, of Summit, NJ, passed away at her home on April 8, 2022. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Assembly of God, 242 Shunpike Rd. in Springfield on Tuesday, April 19th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in E. Hanover. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Bradley, Brough and Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave. in Summit on Monday, April 18th from 4 to 8pm.
Born in Irvington and raised in Maplewood, the daughter of John and Louise (Ernie) Reils, Barbara graduated from Columbia High School. A homemaker, she volunteered at Overlook Hospital and taught bible studies to children at church. Barbara was a Cub Scout and Brownie leader and also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader. She will be fondly remembered as a strong Godly woman who loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was always positive, supportive and encouraging and had a smile that could light up a room.
Barbara was the beloved wife of 53 years to Henry “Hank” Evers. She was the loving mother of Clint Evers and his wife Karen, Lisa Evers, and John Evers and his wife Laura. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Melissa and Elaina, and her dear brother Bruce Reils.
