Bernadette M. Curley, 77, of Morris Plains, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Arbor Terrace, Morris Plains, NJ.
Bernadette was born on April 1, 1942 in Orange, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Rose (nee McEnery) Curley and resided in Livingston, NJ. Bernadette later moved to Belleville and lastly resided in Nutley. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Town of Belleville for many years.
Bernadette was proud of her Irish heritage. She enjoyed Irish music and her travels in Ireland. Bernadette was a member of the Belleville Irish American Association and the Nutley Irish Association. She loved family events and listening to Irish music.
She is survived by her siblings; Rose Marie Lanzotti (Jerry), Mary Anderson, John Curley (Kathy), Fr. Augustine J. Curley, O.S.B., and Cathy Brady (Dan). Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Bernadette is predeceased by her brother, Michael.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Chatham, NJ 07928. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 14, 2020, 10:00 am at Saint Mary’s Church at Newark Abbey, 520 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Newark, NJ 07102-1314. An interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
