Brent Philip Wentz
09/05/1940 - 12/21/2022

Brent Philip Wentz left us peacefully on December 21, 2022. Brent was born in Los Angeles, California on September 5th, 1940 to Mary Isabel and Walter Bequette. Walter passed away shortly after Brent’s birth and Isabel would later marry Fred Wentz. At the age of 10, the family moved to Madison, NJ where Brent thrived and found his forever home and countless lifelong friends.

Mischievous at times and always ready with great stories about his days at Madison High School, Brent was a member of the MHS football and baseball teams and a proud Dodger. He maintained close relationships with coaches and teammates throughout his life. His high school friends often called him “Yogi”, a nickname he cherished. He loved Madison and was proud that his daughters graduated from his beloved alma mater.

Brent was a graduate of Bethany College and a veteran of the US Army National Guard. He retired from a long career in sales at Baxter Healthcare in 2001, a role that was perfectly suited for his outgoing personality. Leslie and Brent loved to travel and were able to see the world together, something that brought them so much joy.

Brent is survived by his devoted wife, Leslie, his daughters Victoria Hanes and Elizabeth Walsh, sons-in law Jonathan Hanes and Ryan Walsh, his 4 grandsons- Hayden Hanes, George Hanes, Carter Hanes and Colin Walsh, granddaughter Merritt Walsh and his rescue dog, Harper.

Brent will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched with his kindness, his warmth, his outstanding sense of humor and his love of a good time.
