Carmen DePasque of Cedar Knolls, died at Morristown Medical Center on Nov. 15th. He was 89. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church, 75 Ridgedale Ave on Tuesday, Nov. 20th at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover. Born in Orange, NJ, Carmen was the sixth child in his family of seven siblings. He valued family and remained devoted to his home town, after moving to Cedar Knolls over 45 years ago. After graduating High School, “Cy” was enlisted into the US Army Air Force, where he proudly served his country during WWII. Upon his return to the states, he met his future bride on a blind date and the couple married in 1950. He worked for Automatic Switch Co. for over 40 years and was a Union Representative for local #3 IBEW there. He also served many years on the Morris County Board of Elections. Cy enjoyed traveling with his wife, providing beach vacations for his family and dancing. He was a bowler and played softball, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.


Predeceased by his wife Rose (nee Trezza), his grandson Mark Vos; his siblings and their spouses; he is survived by his daughters Mona Vos and her husband John and Maria DePasque-Asherman and her husband James; his grandchildren John and his fiancee Carrie-Anne Papa, Lea Vos and Melanie Asherman; and many other loving relatives and friends.
