Carol L. Tighe, 85, of East Hanover passed away on April 26, 2024. Memorial visiting hours at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd. in Whippany will be on Sunday, April 28th from 11 to 3pm.
Born in Newark and raised in East Hanover, the daughter of Raymond and Florence (Lurker) Minier, Carol was a graduate of Madison High School. She lived in Roxbury, NJ, for many years before moving back to East Hanover. In her earlier years Carol had worked at Mennen’s, Novartis, and St. Elizabeth’s College as an administrative assistant. She was a member of the Roxbury PTA and Girl Scouts and helped coach softball. Carol enjoyed travel but most of all she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol was the beloved wife of the late Edward James Tighe. She was the loving mother of Raymond E. Tighe, Linda Tighe, Eileen Giordano, Kathy Collins, and Christine Tighe and partners. She is also survived by her 9 cherished grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister, Laurel Gregory. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of NJ, 425 Eagle Rock, Suite 203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
