Dawn L. Summer

Dawn Elizabeth Summer, (née Lomelo), 77 of Morristown, New Jersey went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.  Dawn was born on June 22, 1945, in Orange, NJ. to parents George and Elizabeth Lomelo.  She lived in New Jersey all of her life.  Graduated in 1963 from Mountain High School in West Orange.  Dawn worked as a secretary for Automatic Switch Company (ASCO) in Florham Park where she met her beloved husband.  Dawn was primarily a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom to her two children.  She later worked for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company in Parsippany.

Dawn was married on June 29, 1973, to her beloved husband of 48 years, M. Frank Summer.  They lived in Denville before moving to East Hanover, retiring in Manchester than moving to Morristown.

She loved the Lord and was very active in her church.  She was a longtime parishioner at Kitchell Memorial Presbyterian in East Hanover before becoming a member of Crossings Church in Livingston.  She was also a volunteer chapter President for Deborah Hospital Foundation for many years.

Dawn was a lover of life.  She enjoyed traveling the world and going on cruises.  She absolutely adored her seven grandchildren and loved to spend time making memories with all of them.

Dawn is pre-deceased by her loving husband Frank Summer.  Dawn is survived by her son Brian Summer and wife Joyce, daughter, Dawn Lerro and husband Tony.  Loving Grammie to Tony Nicholas, Brice Stuart, Dylan Gerard, Summer Nicole, Devin Shea, Nolan Ryan and Aubry Victoriana.  Sisters Sandra McDonald and Deborah Lomelo along with a niece, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  In lieu of flowers, please donate in Dawn Summer’s memory to the following organization: https://www.deborahfoundation.org

A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022, from 4 to 8pm at Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany.
Funeral:
A funeral service will begin at 10am on Thursday, July 14th, 2022 at the funeral home
Committal:
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
