Donald Edward Zentz, 75, of Springfield NJ, passed away on March 19, 2024. Visiting hours at Bradley, Smith & Smith funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave. in Springfield will be held on Monday, March 25th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth.
Born in Newark and raised in Springfield, the son of Edward and Josephine (Chumicka), Don graduated from Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark. A tool and die machinist and designer, he worked for many years at Atlantic Metal Products and Roselle Tool and Die. Don enjoyed fishing and loved motorcycles, especially his two Harley Davidsons and his BSA.
Don was the beloved husband of 52 years to Mary Ann. He was the loving father of Michele Zentz and her partner Timothy Besbris, and Robert Zentz. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kaya Zentz Demir, Cebera Zentz Demir, Antaya Zentz Demir, Sheryl Dempsey and Henry Zentz, his great-grandchildren, Malachi Dempsey and Conall Depsey, and his sisters, Nancy Lake and Joanne Smith.
