Eduardo Lucciola, 89, died February 5, 2021, in his home with his family by his side in East Hanover, NJ. Eduardo was born May 9, 1931 in San Giorgio A Liri, Italy to Rocco Lucciola and Mariuccia Terrezza. He enjoyed wine making, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Laureta, son Pompeo, daughter Carmelina, daughter-in-law Marion and his 4 grandchildren Gabriella, Melissa, Fabian and Claudia and his extended family in Italy, too many to mention. He was one of 24 siblings. He was married to his loving wife Laureta for 61 years.
In search for a better life, he spent 5 years in Venezuela then 9 years in England and eventually found his way to Port Washington, NY where he seized the American dream. While in Port Washington, Eduardo worked as a barber at The Palace Barbershop and was an active member of the Sons of Italy. Because of his upbeat and out going personality, he made many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He lived in Port Washington for 33 years and then moved to East Hanover, NJ so that he could be closer to his children and grandchildren. Eduardo welcomed everyone to the table for a meal and a glass of his homemade wine. Sharing a meal together with him was always a memorable experience filled with many stories from his very happy and beautiful life.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany, NJ 07981 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936. An entombment will at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Due to Covid restrictions, masks must be worn at all times.
