It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved brother Edward, 80 on February 27, 2024. Born in Newark, NJ on March 22, 1943, he grew up in Irvington and graduate from Irvington High School in 1960. Each day of his life was great as long as it began with his favorite Dunkin Donuts coffee and his newspaper. He went onto valiantly serve in the U.S. Navy for four years. While in the Navy he experienced seeing the world while assigned to submarine specialty service. He was selected to be a special honor guard to welcome back the astronauts that explored the moon on the Apollo flight.. Afterwards, here moved to Mountainside until present. He was a U.S. Postal Worker for forty three years in the Newark Post Office.
He was a quiet man and very well liked. Throughout his life he was a sports enthusiast with football and basketball. He especially enjoyed going to the Jets games with his favorite friends, Hank Miller and the guys. He passed just 3 weeks before his 81st birthday and watching the outcome of the March Madness games. Ed is pre-deceased by his parents, Emma and Stephen. He is survived by his loving sister Linda Voros, cousins Eva and Susie Fenusz. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2023 at 11 am at Bradley Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave. Union, NJ. Interment Hollywood Cemetery.
