Elizabeth A. Kane, of Basking Ridge, passed away on April 5, 2023 at Sunrise of Basking Ridge. She was 85.
Born in Summit to Lucy and Edward Ryan, Elizabeth was a graduate of Bayley Ellard High School. She worked in the Radiology Department of Overlook Hospital in Summit for 45 years, retiring as Executive Administrator of Radiology.
A devoted Catholic, she was a former parishioner of St. James Church in Basking Ridge. Full of energy and vigor, Elizabeth enjoyed taking walks outside, swimming in her pool and reading. She loved Johnny Cash and country music. She was proud of her Irish heritage and hosted great Halloween and Christmas Eve gatherings. She lived life to its fullest to the very end.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Kane. She was the loving mother of Robert Griener and his wife Sharon of Basking Ridge and Susan Link and her husband Charles of Harding Township; devoted grandmother to Bailey Mallon and her husband Michael, Charlotte Link, Casey Link and Jessica Griener. Elizabeth loved her siblings- she is survived by Katherine, Mary, James, Peggy, Nancy and Danny and was predeceased by Patrick and Edward (Buddy).
