Fernando “Freddie” A. Pereira, 49, of Mountainside, New Jersey passed away suddenly on January 13, 2019 at his home.
Freddie was born on July 31, 1969 in Newark, NJ and resided in Union most of his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fernando J. and Maria Eunice Pereira.
Freddie was a 1987 graduate of Union High School and a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, Union, NJ. In his spare time, he loved going fishing, bird watching and being outdoors. He was also a car enthusiast.
Freddie is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne M. Devanney-Pereira. He is also survived by his father, Fernando Pereira, brothers Frank Pereira and wife Joan, Dave Pereira and wife Denise and Jose Pereira and wife Alyssa. In addition, he was the cherished uncle of Jacob, Lily, Grace, Eva, Jeremy, Joseph and Jagger. He was predeceased by his mother, Eunice Pereira.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 2-4pm & 6-9pm at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:15am on Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Michael’s Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, NJ. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Freddie’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 or People for Animals, 401 Hillside Avenue, Hillside, NJ 07205.
