Gerardo A. DiSalvo

Gerardo A. DiSalvo, a resident of East Hanover, formerly of Newark, NJ, passed away surrounded by his beloved family at Morristown Memorial Medical Center on June 2, 2002.  He was 79.

Born in Bisaccia, Italy to the late Maria Menna and Antonio DiSalvo, Gerardo worked for the Essex County Park Commission for 42 years until his retirement.  He loved playing canasta, going to the Italian cafe and watching golf and Italian soccer.  But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of Francesca DiSalvo; loving father of Anna Maria Fabiano and her husband Vincent; the devoted Nonno to his cherished granddaughter Gianna Maria. He is survived by his sister Angela Disalvo, his brothers Antonio Menna and Angelo Menna. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Disalvo. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Maria Greuter, Giuseppe Mastrullo, Graziella Mastrullo, Anthony DiSalvo, Nicoletta Mastrullo, Anna Luongo, Jody Thomas, Michelle Matthews, Antonia Fieno, Gerard Menna and their children Ludovico Acocella, Stefano Terlizzi, Pietro Mastrullo, Loris Imbriano, Lorenza Mastrullo, Victoria Greuter, Giuseppe DiSalvo, Bianca Terlizzi, Denis Imbriano, Madison Thomas, Nico Fieno and Christopher Thomas.

Visitation will be at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road, Whippany on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral:
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, 312 Ridgedale Avenue on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 9:45 a.m.
Committal:
Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, immediately following the Funeral Mass
