Gloria Ann Offray, 94, of Summit, NJ, passed away at her home on March 24, 2021. A funeral service will be held at Bradley, Brough & Dangler Funeral Home, 299 Morris Ave. in Summit on Friday, April 9th at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 to 11am prior to the service. Entombment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Summit.
Born and raised in West Orange, the daughter of Edwin and Bertha ( Hula ) Moler, Gloria had lived in Summit since 1951. She graduated from St. Elizabeth’s Academay in Convent Station, NJ, and later from Endicott Junior College in Pride’s Crossing, MA. Gloria was a member of several golf and country clubs including, Baltusrol, Morris County, Rock Spring, Basin Harbor in Vermont, The Ocean Club, Delray Dunes, Pine Tree, The Little Club and Delray Beach Clubs in Florida, the Mid Ocean Club in Bermuda and the Hinch Club in Ireland. She was an avid bridge player and great golfer having earned several award for ‘holes in one’ over the course of her life. She loved to cook and would spend hours preparing dinners, never repeating a meal in the same month.
Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Claude V. Offray, Jr. She was the loving mother of Denise A. Offray and Claude V. Offray, III and his wife Patrizia. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Claudia M. Offray, Jaclyn V. Offray Ellison, Timothy E. Offray, David Solomon Offray, Sharon Offray and Claude V. Offray IV, great granddaughters, Helen M. Ellison and Gloria A. Ellison, nieces Cindy A. Moler Chesnes and Lisa A. Moler Kelly, and nephew Stephen E. Moler.
