Helen McCormack, 84, of Chatham, NJ, passed away on September 16, 2023. A funeral mass will becelebrated at St.Teresa of Avila, 306 Morris Avenue, Summit, NJ, on Thursday, September 21″ at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Summit.
Helen was born and raised in Summit, NJ. She was the loving daughter of Herbert and Emily Brenn. After High School she took a job as secretary with Kemper Insurance and later with AT&T. In between,. she would also go on to be a travel agent enabling her to see the world. She was also a longtime active parishioner at Corpus Christi Church in Chatham, NJ.
Helen enjoyed playing and watching racquet sports, walking her dogs, Opie and Dusty, solving crossword puzzles, playing board games and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed her Wednesday afternoon canasta group.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late James McCormack Sr. She was the loving mother of Gail Devito (Michael), Robert Mandatto, Sharon Richards (Joseph) and Jill Collins (Peter).
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Michael and Matthew Devito, Brenn, Otto, Sari and Joey Richards, Jennifer, Abigail and Grace Collins.
She will be missed by all her loving family members and longtime friends. She leaves us all with beautiful and precious memories that we will always cherish.
