Henrietta Kuhn (Etta), 90, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020.  She was born June 11, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY and spent her youth there, graduating from Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge.  She then lived in Cambria Heights, NY and later became a longtime resident of Florham Park, NJ.  Her recent years were spent at Fellowship Village Senior Living in Basking Ridge amongst new friends and a supportive extended family.

Etta worked for Esso in NYC, became a loving mother, and worked for Hallmark Cards throughout northern NJ locations.

Etta was always active in her church, most notably at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cambria Heights, NY where she was part of the Luther League group and met her husband Bob, and was first president of the Married Couples group along with her husband.  She was a long-time active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Florham Park, NJ where she sang in the choir, served on the church council, on altar guild, soup kitchen and many hospitality events, and was active in the Women’s circles and Sew ‘n’ So’s group.  She was an active member of the local chapter of the AARP and a member of the Hanover Park High School Band Parents.

She and her husband were supportive fans at their grandchildren’s events and throughout her life she was a devoted baseball fan, first for the Brooklyn Dodgers and then the New York Mets.  She enjoyed taking vacations with family and friends, swimming in the ocean, traveling with her husband Bob, bowling in her earlier days, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, reading, and loved socializing with friends and making new friends.

Etta was the daughter of Henrietta (Schilling) and Frank Loeber.  She was raised by her father and aunt, Anna Otto, after the early death of her mother. She is predeceased by her loving husband Bob of 65 years, an infant son, Scott Robert, her stepmother, Aimee Loeber, stepbrother, Roger Schneider, and cousin, Dorothy (Otto) Krozer.

Etta is survived by two loving daughters, Linda Matarazzo and her husband Sam, and Carol Yili and her husband Jim, as well as two loving grandsons, Kevin and Gregory Matarazzo and a loving granddaughter Kirsten Yili.

Virtual visitation will be available at 11:45 am on January 8, 2021 via the zoom link above.  A private memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Florham Park on January 8, 2021 at 12:30 pm for the immediate family, with a livestream video available at that time from the youtube link above.  Interment will be private.
