Ina B. Payton, 79, of Sicklerville, New Jersey and formerly of Brooklyn, New York passed away on August 27, 2021.
Ina was born on April 2, 1942 in Silver Creek, MS. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Esteem and Mary (nee Bryant) Davis. She was a graduate of McCullough High School, Monticello, MS and attended Pace University, New York City, NY
She started her career as a Reconciliation Manager for American Express from 1968-1984 and was Vice President/Compliance Officer for Arab Banking Corporation, New York City, NY from 1984-2011. After her retirement, she volunteered for many years with children.
In her spare time, Ina enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her son, Darryl Payton and was the loving Gran of Monique Bonaparte, Troy Payton, Darryl Rai Payton, Everett Payton and great-grandchildren; Dominik Bonaparte and Dakota Bonaparte. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Lula Mae Houze. Ina was predeceased by her sons; Troy and Willie “Neal” Payton and siblings; Alvester Davis and Mimie McLaurin.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Avenue, Union, NJ 07083. Cremation will be private.
