Janice C. Srnka of Little Egg Harbor and Whiting N.J., passed away on Saturday May 21, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born in Orange, N.J. on April 12, 1934, to the late John and Pearl (nee Truex) Nolan. Janice had lived most of her life in Warren Township, N.J. prior to moving to South Jersey 25 years ago. She had been a retail sales associate with Bamberger’s Department Store in Livingston Mall for several years before her retirement.
She loved to decorate, shop for antiques, garden, read, spend time at the beach, cook and bake, especially her famous Christmas cookies. Every Christmas She spent countless hours baking hundreds of different cookies. It was not only one of her favorite traditions, but her family’s as well.
Janice enjoyed passing her recipes down to her family. It was very special and precious to Janice to be with her family as much as possible, as they were all her pride and joy.
Janice was married to the love of her life, William A. Srnka Sr., for 47 years before he passed away in 1997. Surviving are her children William A. Srnka Jr., Richard K. Srnka and his wife Elizabeth Srnka; grandchildren Jennifer Srnka and her husband Rich Frommer, Patricia Lynn Srnka and her husband Ricky Haag, Timothy Srnka and Eric Srnka; Great-grandchildren Leah Frommer and Cameron and Aubrey Haag; and her brother John Nolan.
Janice was the heart of her family and will be missed immensely by all.
