Joan Koll Borneman – of Livingston, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at home after a long illness. Born in Jersey City on January 8, 1935 to the late Wilhelm and Lina (Heinkelein) Koll. Joan had lived in Millburn and Short hills before moving to Livingston. She was a school nurse for the Millburn School District for over 30 years, retiring in 1997. Joan lived a very active life and volunteered for Greenwood Gardens, NJPAC and the American Red Cross, Millburn chapter. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Edmond Borneman, her son Steven G. Vrahnos and her stepson Christopher Borneman. She is survived by her son Donald P. Vrahnos, daughter in law Barbara J. and stepson Jeffrey Borneman. Funeral services are private and handled by Smith & Smith of Springfield and Chatham.
