Joan Margaret Free, 85 passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023. Although a long time resident of Basking Ridge, Ridge Oak Senior Housing she spent the last 7 years at Complete Care at Green Knoll. She was born in Jersey City and is predeceased by her parents Charles and Mildred Free (nee Mamrosh ) along with her beloved oldest son Kenny Ryan, her sister Eileen Giacomo, Marie Ludlow and Brother Joseph Free. She will be dearly missed by her 2 surviving children Kim Ryan and Tim Ryan and his wife Janet along with her 2 grandchildren that she adored, Kelsey and Danny Ryan. Joan worked various part time jobs while being a homemaker but spent about 15 years working in the Jersey City School System as a Teacher’s aide. Joan loved fashion and wearing her bling! She spent many days enjoying Bingo as well.
